Voice AI Funding: Speech and Dictation Startup Rounds
How much money goes into speech recognition, dictation and voice AI companies, in which rounds and acquisitions?
Money in speech and voice AI is concentrated in voice agents and speech APIs, where the typical disclosed deal is 80 million US dollars and 37.5 million US dollars respectively. Transcription services sit far below at 10 million US dollars, and a single acquisition, Microsoft's purchase of Nuance, dwarfs every funding round.

80million US dollars
In the funding rounds and acquisitions in speech recognition and dictation dataset, the 5 published figures for “Voice agents and voice AI” have a median of 80 million US dollars, ranging from 7 to 500.
How it is calculated
37.5million US dollars
In the funding rounds and acquisitions in speech recognition and dictation dataset, the 8 published figures for “Speech-to-text API” have a median of 37.5 million US dollars, ranging from 12 to 130.
How it is calculated
10million US dollars
In the funding rounds and acquisitions in speech recognition and dictation dataset, the 5 published figures for “Transcription service” have a median of 10 million US dollars, ranging from 3.1 to 26.5.
How it is calculated
Investors put the most money into companies that sell voice as infrastructure or as an agent, and much less into companies that sell transcripts. The median disclosed deal for voice agents and voice AI is 80 million US dollars 1. For speech-to-text APIs it is 37.5 million US dollars 2. For transcription services it is only 10 million US dollars 3. The one outlier at the top is an acquisition: Microsoft announced it would buy Nuance for $19.7 billion million US dollars 4, including net debt.
The table below covers 23 data points 5 drawn from 22 sources 6. Each is a disclosed amount for a funding round, an acquisition or a share offering. Undisclosed deals are not in it, so the data describes the deals companies were willing to announce.
Voice agents and speech APIs draw the largest rounds
Voice agents and voice AI have the highest median of the application segments, and the widest spread. ElevenLabs shows the climb in one company. It raised 19 million US dollars in a Series A 7, then 80 million in a Series B 8, then 180 million in a Series C 9, and then 500 million in a Series D led by Sequoia Capital 10. Each round was several times the size of the one before.
The largest single raise in this segment is not a venture round. iFlytek sold new shares to a group of investors and took in about 3,999,999,986.84 million US dollars 11. That is a listed company's share placement, a different kind of financing from a startup round, and it pulls the segment's spread up.
Early-stage deals in the same segment are much smaller. Bee, a wearable assistant, raised million US dollars in a seed round . Gradium reported a seed total of 100 million US dollars 12, which is unusually large for a seed and is explained in the limits below.
Speech-to-text APIs follow a steadier pattern. Deepgram's rounds went from 12 million US dollars in a Series A 13 to 25 million in a Series B 14, then 47 million in a Series B extension 15, and 130 million in a Series C 16. AssemblyAI raised 28 million in a Series A 17 and 50 million in a Series C 18. Speechmatics raised 62 million in a Series B 19. Gladia raised 16 million in a Series A 20. These companies sell recognition to developers, so one engine can serve many products, and investors price that reach into the round.

Dictation apps are small in count but raised large rounds quickly
The dictation app segment has few rows, so its median of 30 million US dollars 22 says little by itself. The range is what matters. Wispr Flow is the whole story. Menlo Ventures led its Series A of 30 million US dollars 23. A further 25 million followed within months 24. Then came a Series B of 280 million 25, again led by Menlo Ventures.
The pattern suggests investors see typed-by-voice as a daily tool for knowledge workers, not a niche accessibility feature. But with one company supplying every dictation row, the data cannot say whether other dictation apps raise on similar terms.
Meeting notes make up the most rows and sit in the middle
Meeting notes is the best-covered segment, with a median of 18.5 million US dollars 26. The rows are dense enough to show the usual ladder. Seeds are small: Circleback raised million US dollars , Granola 4.25 million 27, Fathom 4.7 million 28 and Fireflies.ai 5 million 29.
Series A rounds cluster in the teens and low twenties: Fireflies.ai 14 million 30, Fathom 17 million 31, Granola 20 million 32 and Read AI 21 million 33. Series B rounds reach 50 million for Read AI 34 and 50 million for Otter.ai 35.
The segment's top row is Granola's Series C of 125 million US dollars 36. Otter.ai's early Series A of 10 million 37 shows the segment is not new, but recent rounds are larger than the early ones.
Medical scribes show the biggest gap between the median and the top
The medical scribe and dictation median is 50 million US dollars 38, but the segment holds both the smallest and the largest deals. Tandem Health raised $9.5 million 39, then $50 million 40, then $100 million in a round led by the Scaleup Europe Fund managed by EQT 41. Freed's Series A, led by Sequoia Capital, was million . Ambience Healthcare's Series C was 243 million 42.
At the top sits Nuance, bought by Microsoft for $19.7 billion million US dollars 4. That is the only acquisition in the data, and it is a different kind of number from a funding round: it is a purchase of a whole company, with net debt included. Any average that includes it is meaningless, which is why the medians above are the safer guide.
| Company | Deal | Led by or buyer | Announced | Amount ($M) | Source |

| Nuance Communications | Acquisition | Microsoft | 2021-04-12 | 19,700 | Microsoft, 2021 4 |

Transcription services raised the least
Transcription services have a median of 10 million US dollars 3. Trint raised 3.1 million in its first round 44 and 4.5 million in a Series A 45. Amberscript, led by Endeit Capital, raised million . A transcript is a product that automatic recognition keeps making cheaper, so it is plausible that investors pay more for the engine or the workflow built on top than for the transcript itself. The data shows the gap, not the cause.
What the data cannot tell you
Only announced amounts count. A company that raised quietly, or announced a round without a figure, is absent. Valuations are excluded on purpose, so a headline such as a billion-dollar valuation does not appear, only the money raised. Rumored rounds are excluded too.
Some rows are not clean rounds. Gradium's figure is a cumulative seed total after an extension, not the size of the extension, and its first seed round is not counted. Bee's amount includes earlier pre-seed money. The Wispr Flow Series A was reported while it was being raised, not after it closed. Tandem Health's rows come from headlines, and the company's own list does not name the round types, so they are filed as growth or unlabeled rounds.
Sources disagree at the edges. Reports differ on Ambience Healthcare's round, with one law-firm note giving a smaller figure than most outlets, and the row uses the majority figure. Amberscript's later releases give its Series A in euros, so the dollar figure is the one in the original release. The iFlytek figure is converted from yuan at a central parity rate read in a news report, so it is approximate. Several Deepgram rows come from an investor's reprint, which is not independent of the round.
Medians hide small groups. Several segments rest on few rows, and one company often supplies most of them. Treat the segment medians as a description of this table, not as a forecast for any company.
What this means if you choose how to write
Funding tells you which products investors expect to last, not which one fits your work. Still, it points to a few practical readings.
- Dictation is well funded. The dictation segment is backed by large rounds, which makes it likely that apps will keep improving. Read our guide to dictation software for how to compare them on accuracy, speed, privacy and price.
- Meeting notes are crowded. The many mid-size rounds mean many similar tools. Choose by how the tool handles your meetings and where it stores them, not by how much it raised.
- Medical documentation is consolidating around large players. Clinicians should ask about data handling and clinical review, since a big round does not show either.
- Money does not guarantee that a company survives. Acquisitions, such as the Nuance deal, change a product's owner and terms. If you depend on a tool, prefer one with an export path and a clear privacy policy.

How this dataset is built
- What counts as a row
- A disclosed amount of a funding round, an acquisition price or an IPO raise of a company whose main product is speech recognition, dictation, transcription, meeting notes from speech, a clinical scribe or voice AI, from the company's own announcement, the buyer's announcement or filing, or a news report that states the amount.
- What does not
- Undisclosed amounts (no row), valuations (only money raised or paid), rounds of companies for which voice is a side feature, and rumors.
- How rows are found and checked
- Companies are taken from the market registry and from news searches for funding in speech recognition and dictation. Each amount is a fact quoting the announcement or the news report, checked automatically against the live page.
- What the data cannot tell you
- Only disclosed deals appear, and announcements round amounts. Rounds labeled differently by different sources are filed under the company's own label.

The Series B (about 2.3 billion yen, $15M, December 2025), the 2025 Series A (990 million yen) and the $10M Airgram Series A (August 2022) appear only in news and aggregator reports. No acquisition is reported.
Kept, 2 figuresTrint funding rounds
Trint's own blog posts state two disclosed rounds: US$3.1 million in Pre-Series A funding (June 8, 2017 dateline, led by Horizons Labs) and a $4.5 million Series A (April 11, 2019, led by private and institutional investors including Horizons Labs, TechNexus and Associated Press). Neither post states a valuation or a cumulative total.
Not keptHappy Scribe funding
No official funding figure: the Happy Scribe homepage and its /about link (which redirects to a careers page) state no round, investor or amount raised, and the press page refused automated reads. Tracxn and EU-Startups list no funding; a Caplight headline about a $16M Series A does not name Happy Scribe.
Not keptSonix funding
No official funding figure: the Sonix about and press pages contain no funding, investor or acquisition statement. The only leads, a $100K seed and an Xcellerant Ventures investment, come from aggregators (Signal Base, CB Insights) with no date, and Latka describes the company as bootstrapped.
Not keptPicovoice funding
No official funding figure: the Picovoice company and blog pages contain no funding, investor or acquisition statement. The December 2020 angel round ($390K in CB Insights, about $0.5M in Preqin and Persana) comes only from databases that disagree on amount and date.
Not keptKyutai founding funding (non-profit lab, donors)
Not a row: Kyutai's own launch press release (17 November 2023) states the founding money only in euros (each of iliad and CMA CGM contributed €100 million; nearly €300 million invested in total) and gives no US dollar figure, which the dataset unit requires. Schmidt Futures' amount is not stated. The release also describes a non-profit lab for open research on large multimodal models (text, sound
Not keptAccurx
Voice is a side feature, not the main product, of the rounds that exist: the 2019 Series A (£8.8M, TechCrunch) and the 2021 Series B (£27.5M, about $38M per a Forbes report reposted on accurx.com/press) were raised for a patient messaging and vaccine booking platform for GP practices, and the £ figures cannot be stated in US dollars without an outside exchange rate. accurx.com/press lists no round
Not keptSindre Sorhus
No official funding figure: the aiko page at sindresorhus.com/aiko states only a $24 one-time purchase, App Store links and a privacy policy, with no round, investor or acquisition. Searches for Sindre Sorhus with Aiko returned only unrelated companies named Aiko.
Not keptAlibaba Cloud
Speech recognition is a side feature of a general cloud platform, so its rounds and acquisitions do not qualify; the Model Studio page states no funding or acquisition. The only deal found, Alibaba's 2018 acquisition of Sound Connect, has no price in what I could read and comes from CB Insights, not from Alibaba's announcement.
Not keptAmazon Web Services
Official Transcribe page (aws.amazon.com/transcribe) states prices, languages and accuracy but no funding or acquisition amount; AWS is Amazon's cloud division, not a speech company, and its only reported speech deal (Evi, 2013, $26M) is unconfirmed sources' figure with Amazon as buyer
Kept, 1 figureAmberscript
Own November 2021 press release states a $10m Series A led by Endeit Capital (one row); the 2018 seed amount and the February 2023 acquisitions of abtipper.de and uitgetypt.nl have no disclosed amount
Not keptAmical
Official homepage and documentation state no funding, investors or acquisition; the only amount found ($3.7M raised) comes from an unsourced EveryDev aggregator listing, not an official or news statement
Not keptAdvanced Media
Official AmiVoice history page and Advanced Media IR notices give no disclosed amount for any deal: the June 2005 Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers listing and the 2014 wholly owned subsidiary Shorthand Center Tsukuba have no figures, and the April 6, 2026 notice on acquiring feat (a software testing firm, not a speech product) says the purchase price is not disclosed at the counterparty's request
Not keptApple
Apple's SpeechAnalyzer documentation page (Markdown version) states no funding, acquisition or price figure, and Apple's main product is not speech recognition, so no Apple deal qualifies under the include rule
Not keptAqua Voice, Inc.
Aqua Voice's own home, pricing, Windows, privacy and blog pages state no funding round or acquisition amount; its press, news and about pages return 404. Seed-round figures appear only on third-party aggregator sites, which the official-page rule excludes
Not keptAudionotes
No official page states a round or acquisition: the homepage, pricing and privacy pages name no investors. The only figure ($670.00K raised, 2023 seed) comes from an aggregator profile (Bounce Watch), not from the company, a buyer or a news report, so it is not a row.
Not keptNicheless, Inc.
No funding round, acquisition or IPO found for Nicheless or AudioPen. The official pricing, FAQ and privacy pages state no financing, and the news search returned only unrelated Livescribe results and a store listing that names Nicheless, Inc. as publisher with no financial details.
Kept, 1 figureAvoma
Avoma's own blog announces a $12M Series A led by Headline, dated December 22, 2021, which is a disclosed round of a meeting-notes company.
Not keptBaidu
No speech-recognition round or acquisition found. The official Baidu Speech page (ai.baidu.com/tech/speech) lists call prices and no financing. Baidu's main product is search, so it is not a company whose main product is speech recognition. The only financing found, the 2020 Series A and B of its voice assistant unit Xiaodu, disclosed no amount.
Kept, 1 figureBee
TechCrunch (July 29, 2024) reports Bee raised $7 million in a round led by Exor, a disclosed seed round of a wearable voice AI company. Bee's own pages state no financing, so the row rests on the news report. Amazon's 2025 acquisition of Bee has no disclosed price (SiliconANGLE: 'for an undisclosed price'), so it is not a row.
Not keptBetterDictation
No funding round, acquisition or investor found. The official home page (betterdictation.com) states prices ($39 lifetime, Pro at $2 a month billed annually) and no financing. Searches return only funding for other dictation apps, such as Wispr Flow, which is a different company.
Not keptBigHand
No funding round or acquisition price on BigHand's own pages (homepage, news index, About page checked 2026-10-19). Its news post 'BigHand Acquires Ayora' gives no amount, and Ayora is a legal pricing AI firm, not a speech company. The Bridgepoint and Levine Leichtman ownership deals appear only in press reports, which this target's own-page search does not admit.
Not keptBluedot
No funding round or acquisition on Bluedot's own pages (homepage, blog index checked 2026-10-19; /about and /press return 404). Its only disclosed raises (pre-seed and angel rounds in 2024) appear in third-party press reports, which this target's own-page search does not admit.
Not keptHyathi Technologies Private Limited
BossAI's own pages (home, About, checked 2026-10-19) name Hyathi Technologies Private Limited as developer but state no funding round, investor or acquisition amount; /press returns 404. Search results tie BOSS AI (a different Nashville company, acquired by Blattner Technologies in 2022) to no Hyathi deal, so no row is recorded.
Kept, 2 figuresOtter.ai funding rounds
Otter's own press page lists a $10M Series A (as AISense, Nov 2017) and a $50M Series B led by Spectrum Equity (Feb 2021); its list has no funding release after 2021, and no later primary round was found.
Kept, 2 figuresFireflies.ai funding rounds
Fireflies' own blog gives a $5M seed led by Canaan Partners (Oct 2019) and a $14m Series A led by Khosla Ventures (May 2021); a 2025 $1 billion valuation came from a secondary tender, not a round, so it is not a row, and no later primary round was found.
Kept, 2 figuresFathom (AI notetaker) funding rounds
Fathom's own press releases give a $4.7M seed (Jan 2022, no lead named) and a $17M Series A led by Telescope Partners (Sept 2024); a May 2026 CVS Health Ventures investment has no disclosed amount and is reported for an autonomous medical coding business, so it is excluded.
Not keptBrainasoft
No funding round, acquisition or IPO on the official Braina pages (brainasoft.com/braina/ and download.html, read 2026-10). They list Lite, Pro, Pro Plus and Pro Ultra prices and features, and the footer only names Brainasoft as the trademark owner. Product prices are not rows of this dataset.
Not keptChidi Williams
No funding round, investor, acquisition or sponsorship amount on the official Buzz pages (the README, chidiwilliams.github.io/buzz and its docs, read 2026-10). Buzz is an MIT-licensed open-source app with no company or investor named. Its license and feature facts are not rows of this dataset.
Not keptHaujetZhao
No funding round, sponsor amount or acquisition on the official CapsWriter-Offline repository page (github.com/HaujetZhao/CapsWriter-Offline, read 2026-10). The repository has no GitHub Sponsors button enabled, and the README text it renders names no investor or buyer. The raw README URL did not return text, so the rendered page was read instead.
Not keptChar
No disclosed amount. Char's own pages (char.com home, the 'Hyprnote is now Char' post, privacy policy) say only 'Backed by Y Combinator' with no figure, and the YC company page lists the Summer 2025 batch with no amount. The $500K seed dated January 2025 appears only in third-party trackers, so it is not counted.
Not keptWhamp
No funding round or acquisition. The Chirp README on GitHub (github.com/Whamp/chirp-stt) describes a local Windows dictation app and states no funding, grant, sponsorship or company behind it, and no news report or announcement of a round or acquisition was found.
Kept, 1 figureCircleback
Circleback's own blog post (November 26, 2024) states it raised $2.5M in seed funding from Y Combinator, Rebel Fund, Pioneer Fund and Transpose Platform, with TechCrunch reporting the same amount. The homepage and pricing page give only 'Backed by Y Combinator' and prices, which are not dataset rows. No later round was found in searches, and the other rounds in CB Insights have no disclosed amount
Not keptCleft
No disclosed funding or acquisition. Cleft's own home page at cleftnotes.com lists press quotes and app awards but no investor, round or amount, and searches of news and app-store listings found no seed round or sale (the App Store publisher is Cleft AI Limited). Its pricing and privacy pages state prices and data handling, not money raised, so they yield no row.
Not keptCloudflare
Cloudflare's main product is not speech recognition, so it is not a company the dataset covers. Its Workers AI speech-to-text is one hosted Whisper model among many, a side feature. Its Workers AI model page at developers.cloudflare.com names no funding round, investor or acquisition. The one recent deal found, the plan to acquire the AI model platform Replicate (November 2025), is not a speech co
Not keptNAVER
NAVER's main product is search and portal services, and CLOVA Note is one service among many, so voice is a side feature. The official CLOVA Note page (clovanote.naver.com, Korean) states no investment, round or acquisition, and searches in English and Korean found no funding or sale of CLOVA Note itself. The 2017 acquisition of Company AI for the Clova platform is not a deal in a speech company's
Not keptOpen Software Network
Official Clovy page (opensoftware.co/clovy) and OpenSoftware privacy policy state no funding round, acquisition or amount; the only backer mention is a 'Backed by' logo strip with no amount. Web search found no disclosed round, and its hits were unrelated companies (OpenClovis, Clovyr).
Not keptEmil Lykke Grann
Codictate homepage and privacy page state no funding round, acquisition or amount; the author's name appears only in the page's structured data. Web search found no round or acquisition for Codictate or its author.
Not keptErtiqah, LLC.
Contextli home, pricing and privacy pages state plan prices and data practices only, with no funding round, acquisition or amount. Web search found no record for Contextli or Ertiqah, LLC.
Not keptActionPower (maker of daglo, https://daglo.ai/)
One disclosed round, a Series B of 6 billion won announced on 5 March 2026 on daglo's own newsroom, but not yet a row: the page gives no US dollar amount, and the official won-to-dollar rate for that date could not be fetched, so the figure cannot be stated in million US dollars. No acquisition found.
Not keptDeepInfra (maker of DeepInfra speech-to-text, https://deepinfra.com/openai/whisper-large-v3-turbo)
A disclosed $107 million Series B announced on 4 May 2026, but DeepInfra's main product is a general inference cloud for many model types, and speech recognition is one hosted category, so voice is a side feature. No acquisition found.
Not keptSmartBids.ai Corp. (maker of DictaFlow, https://dictaflow.io)
No disclosed funding round or acquisition: the dictaflow.io home page names no investor, round, price or buyer, and searches of the news for SmartBids.ai Corp. and DictaFlow found none (a result for a different company, SmartBid, is unrelated).
Not keptDictation Daddy
Official site (dictationdaddy.com) states no funding round or acquisition, and web searches find no investor, round or buyer; its prices are not rows of this dataset.
Not keptDictato

Kept, 1 figureNuance (Microsoft)
Acquisition by Microsoft at $19.7 billion, announced 2021-04-12; reuses the staged fact from Microsoft's own announcement because Nuance's Dragon Anywhere page states no amount.
Kept, 1 figureMicrosoft (Nuance)
Dragon Copilot product page states no funding, price or acquisition figure. The Nuance acquisition is in Microsoft's own 12 April 2021 release: an all-cash price of $19.7 billion including net debt (reused fact). The 2022 completion release gives no amount, so no row.
Not keptEnviousWispr
Its own page (enviouswispr.com, published by Envious Labs) describes a free, open-source Mac app with no subscription and states no funding, round or acquisition. It is a separate product from Wispr Flow, so Wispr's rounds are not its rows.
Not keptfal
Its Whisper model page states a price of $0 per compute second and no funding or acquisition. Whisper is one model in fal's hosted model gallery, so speech recognition is a side feature of the company, and its rounds do not count as rows.
Kept, 2 figuresFathom Video
Two disclosed rounds, both reused from the existing facts: $4.7M seed (January 2022) and $17M Series A led by Telescope Partners (September 2024), each in a Business Wire release of Fathom's; no fathom.video page states a round and no acquisition was found
Not keptFeishu
Official Feishu Minutes page (feishu.cn) states no funding round or price; Feishu is a ByteDance business unit rather than a separately funded company, and the ByteDance purchases found (Hipacloud, Mubu, Sortime) were not speech companies
Not keptFellow
Fellow's own about page states a $6.5 M seed round (2019) and $24M Series A (2021), but at those rounds it sold meeting management software; its AI note-taking from speech launched in 2023, so voice was not its main product when those rounds were raised
Not keptFireworks AI
Its own home page describes the company as a "state of the art training and inference platform" for open models (fireworks.ai, read 2026-10-19), and its audio transcription is one product among many. Voice is a side feature, so its rounds are not rows. Its home, blog and team pages state no round amount, acquisition or IPO raise.
Not keptFlint
Its home page, blog and privacy policy (flintvoice.app, read 2026-10-19) state no funding round, investor, acquisition or amount raised. The blog has no funding post, and the about and pricing URLs return 404. Its plan prices are consumer app prices, which this dataset does not record.
Not keptAltic
Altic's home page (altic.dev, read 2026-10-19) presents Altic as a studio of on-device Mac software, and fluidvoice.com states no funding round, investor, acquisition or amount raised. Not keptFnScribe

Kept, 1 figureFreed

Kept, 4 figuresGranola (AI notepad) funding rounds
Granola's own blog gives a $20M Series A led by Spark Capital (Oct 2024, already in the catalog) and a $125M Series C led by Index Ventures (Mar 2026); a $43M Series B led by NFDG (May 2025) is in a news report, and a $4.25M seed (May 2023) is in a news article, since neither round has a Granola page here. Granola's pricing page has no funding figures, so it gives no rows.
Kept, 2 figuresRead AI funding rounds
Read AI's own blog gives a $21M Series A led by Goodwater Capital (Apr 2024) and a $50M Series B led by Smash Capital (Oct 2024), both with the date printed on the page. No later round was found.
Not kepttl;dv funding rounds
The only disclosed round is a €4.3M seed led by K Fund (June 2022), reported in euros by tech.eu; no official tl;dv page or news source gives a US dollar figure, and the aggregators that show $4.5M convert without a stated rate, so no row is made. A CB Insights $0.93M bridge (Nov 2023) is not on any page read.
Not keptmatthartman
The official GitHub README (github.com/matthartman/ghost-pepper, read 2026-10-19) states no funding round, investor, acquisition or amount raised for Ghost Pepper or its maker. The maker's GitHub profile page (github.com/matthartman) also states no financing.
Not keptGlaido
Glaido's official pages (glaido.com home, /pricing, /privacy-policy, /business, /faq and the /blog listing, read 2026-10-19) state no funding round, investor, acquisition or amount raised. Not keptGlimpse
Glimpse's official pages (tryglimpse.cc home, /about/, /privacy/, /blog/ and /faq/, read 2026-10-19) state no funding round, investor, acquisition or amount raised. Its home page and privacy page give product and data terms only, so no row-worthy figure is stated.
Not keptGood Tape
No official figure: goodtape.io (home, pricing, privacy policy, news and about pages) states no funding round or acquisition. The only amount found is EUR 600,000 (about 600K euros), reported by press (TheSaaSNews, 2026-10-05; DRNO), not by the company, and it is in euros, which would need an exchange-rate source.
Not keptGoogle Cloud
No row: Google Cloud is a division of Alphabet, not a company that raised funding, and its main product is not speech recognition (cloud computing). Its speech acquisitions (API.ai, 2016; DNNresearch, 2013) were made by Google with terms not disclosed, and the Mobvoi stake (2015) was a minority investment, not an acquisition, with no amount. The official Speech-to-Text pages were not re-read for t
Not keptGoTranscript
No official figure: gotranscript.com (about page, rates and jobs pages) states no funding round, investor or acquisition. Crunchbase lists two funding events dated Jan 1, 1970 with placeholder text, so they are not usable as dated disclosed amounts.
Kept, 1 figureGradium
Official blog announcement of July 8, 2026 states the seed financing was extended to $100 million; it gives only the cumulative total, not the extension's own size, and names no lead.

No official figure: the grain.com home, blog and pricing pages state no funding round or acquisition; the $16M Series A (2022) appears only in news and tracker reports, which this job does not accept.
Not keptGroq
Out of scope: its newsroom announces rounds ($650M, June 22, 2026; $350M Series A, August 17, 2026), but its main product is an AI inference cloud and chips, and speech-to-text is one model among many, so voice is a side feature.
Not keptCJ Pais (maker of Handy, https://handy.computer)
No funding round, acquisition or IPO on handy.computer, its /about page or the official GitHub repository; the only money named is a GitHub Sponsors page and four sponsor logos, which are not disclosed rounds. Handy itself is free and open source.

Not keptIBM
IBM is not a company whose main product is speech recognition, and its product page read 2026-10-19 has no funding or deal figure. The official press room says Leexi chose to grow without raising outside money: "We chose to grow without raising a single euro". Its About page says the founders self-financed Leexi in 2021 with no amount. A one-million-euro offer declined in 2024 is a valuation offer, not a round, so it is not a row.

The home page and About page name no funding round, investor, acquisition or amount; they cover API pricing only, such as $5 per month for 10 million credits. Web searches for Lemonfox.ai funding or acquisition found only other speech companies.

Not keptMacParakeet (maker of MacParakeet, https://macparakeet.com)
No funding round or acquisition on the official home page or privacy policy; the home page describes the app as free and open-source under GPL-3.0 with no paid tier. Those pages give product claims only, no deal amounts.

Not keptMaestra (maker of Maestra, https://maestra.ai/)
The official About Us page says only 'Founded in 2018' and states no funding round, investor or acquisition. Third-party profiles disagree (one lists $2M total raised with no dates, another says no funding), and none is an official page, so no row can be sourced.

Nabla's own press releases give a $24M Series B initial close (Jan 5, 2024, led by Cathay Innovation) and a $70M Series C (June 17, 2025, led by HV Capital). No official page or dated release for an earlier Series A was found; the only figure is an undated €17.0m on Dealroom, so no row is made.
Kept, 1 figureSuki AI funding rounds
Suki's own press page gives a $90M Series E (Oct 13, 2026), which names no lead investor. The $70M Series D (Oct 2024) and the $55M Series C (2021) have no official copy reachable here: the Business Wire release would not load and suki.ai has no page for them, so only news reports state them and no rows are made.
Not keptMeetGeek (maker of MeetGeek, https://meetgeek.ai/)

Read 2026-10 on the Voxtral Transcribe 2 page: it states prices ($0.003 per minute for Transcribe V2) and no funding round, investor, valuation or acquisition. Voxtral is sold beside Le Chat, Mistral's general assistant, so voice is a side feature of the company and its rounds fall under the dataset's exclude rule; no round figure was recorded.

NAVER Cloud's own CLOVA Speech product page states no investment, round or acquisition. NAVER Cloud is the cloud business, and speech is one service among many, so it is not a speech company. The July 2026 $1 billion NVIDIA investment went into NAVER Corp, a search and portal company, so it is not a speech deal. No NAVER Cloud purchase of a speech company was found in English or Korean searches, a

Omi's own blog post dated January 30, 2025 states that Omi raised $2 million from Tim Draper, with participation from the Dropbox co-founder, 468 Capital and Embedding VC.
