Is Superwhisper available for Windows or Android?

Superwhisper is available for both Windows and Android, but neither is identical to the Mac app. On Windows it runs natively on Windows 10 and 11, on x64 and ARM64 processors, as the same app and under the same license as on macOS ¹. On Android it needs Android 13 or later and transcribes in the cloud, with no on-device models yet ². The maker says there is no Linux app yet ³. Checked October 27, 2026.

Windows runs the same app and license as the Mac version

Superwhisper describes its Windows app as native, with the same license as the Mac version, so one purchase covers both. One Pro license works on unlimited Macs and Windows PCs, plus an iPhone and an Android phone ⁴.

The Windows app was at version 1.6.6 when its maker described it, with regular releases and crash reporting. The maker also says it does not publish a crash rate ⁵. For the current version, check Superwhisper's changelog.

Windows lacks some Mac features

Most features work the same, but a short list isn't available on Windows yet ⁶. The documentation names syncing settings across installations, a custom app folder, Hold Shift to Auto-Send, Simulate Keypresses, coding agent integrations and the CLI. Meetings are Mac only ⁷. Windows has Meeting mode with system audio instead ⁶.

Local models depend on your hardware

Whisper models are free on Windows ⁸. Parakeet runs on Windows through ONNX ⁹. On Windows ARM computers, Superwhisper has no Vulkan support, and Cohere Transcribe and Whisper Large v3 Turbo are not supported yet ¹⁰. Android transcribes in the cloud for now

The Android app transcribes in the cloud ². That makes it a poor fit if you need offline use or must keep audio on the device, as explained in does Superwhisper work offline?.
