Is Willow Voice available for Windows?

Willow Voice is available for Windows. It launched on the Mac first, then on the iPhone, and added Windows in January 2026 ¹. Willow's pricing page lists Mac, iOS and Windows on every plan, and shows Android as coming soon ². All of this was read on Willow's pages in October 2026.

Windows dictation works in any text field

Willow works anywhere you type ³, so you can place the cursor in any text field and dictate. Scribe has its own default shortcut: Left Windows key + Left Shift on Windows, and Function + Control on a Mac ⁴.

The free Basic plan needs no credit card ⁵, but it runs a weaker speech model ⁶. For the limits, see Is Willow Voice free?.

Windows has no offline mode that we could confirm

Willow describes offline dictation as an Individual Pro feature ⁷, and its own blog names an offline mode for Mac and iOS without naming Windows ⁸. So plan on an internet connection for Willow on Windows. Willow's help center says the app uses cloud-based AI models for transcription ⁹. In Private Mode, the default, Willow's privacy policy says it does not retain dictated audio, dictated text or screen content ¹⁰. Details are in Is Willow Voice safe?.

Android has no Willow app, and it has been promised since 2025

In November 2025, Willow's CEO told TechCrunch that the company planned platform expansion to Windows and Android "in the coming months" ¹¹. Windows has since shipped ¹. Android was still listed as coming soon on October 27, 2026 ², and we found no Willow Voice app on Google Play that day. If you need Android, the options are:

It depends on why you are asking about Windows

• You want Willow on a Windows PC: install it. Willow lists Windows as a platform ¹².
• You want audio to stay on the PC: Willow is not the tool, because it uses cloud-based AI models for transcription ⁹. Superwhisper runs natively on Windows 10 and 11, on x64 and ARM64 ¹⁶. • You use Windows and an Android phone: Willow covers only half of that. Pick an app that covers both.

1. On Windows, install Willow, keep Privacy Mode on, and try it for a week.
