Sotto Privacy Policy
Yugansh Jain, Yugansh Jain (developer of Sotto, iPhone and iPad app), 2026
Read the originalRead on October 25, 2026
- What it is
- The privacy policy of Sotto, an on-device recorder and transcriber for iPhone and iPad. It says recordings, transcripts and summaries are stored only on the device until the user exports them or deletes them, and that the app does not upload audio, transcripts or summaries anywhere.
- How much weight it carries
- The developer's own policy, dated 5 September 2026 on the page and read on 2026-10-25. It is a different product from Sotto at sotto.to (George Kitanov), whose sources are separate and not used here. It gives no day count, because the data never leaves the device, and it does not use the word review; the review column follows from its statement that nothing is uploaded to the developer.
Facts taken from this source
- Sotto's privacy policy says it does not upload audio, transcripts or summaries anywhere, and that deleting a recording in the app deletes its audio and text.
“It does not upload your audio, transcripts or summaries anywhere. ... Deleting a recording in the app deletes its audio and text.” (What Sotto does not do; What stays on your device)
