- Vocula is a dictation app for macOS on Apple Silicon. It offers two speech engines, Whisper and Parakeet. The page says that on Parakeet, automatic detection works out the language inside the same pass that transcribes it, so the language list does not constrain it in the same way as on Whisper.

- The same page says this engine 'cannot transcribe Japanese, Chinese, Arabic or Hindi at all'. The number applies to the Parakeet engine only, not to the app as a whole.
