Open the original- What it measures
- The page lists the languages under Dashboard, Settings, Transcription, Language, and says the list is what Whisper's multilingual models are trained on. Its privacy page says voice is transcribed on the Mac with WhisperKit by default, so the picker applies to the on-device engine.
- What it does not show
- The count is the language picker, not a test of accuracy in each language. The page says English-only models (ids ending in .en) do not transcribe other languages properly, so the 99 languages need a multilingual model. Cloud AI cleanup is a separate feature and is not counted here.
