Open the original- What it measures
- The Census Bureau's 2010 survey asked people aged 15 and older whether they had difficulty grasping objects, such as a glass or a pencil. Holding a pencil is the handwriting case that voice input can replace.
- What it does not show
- Self-reported in a survey, for 2010 only. It counts people with any difficulty grasping, and the report gives no split by typing or handwriting. It does not show how many people find dictation useful.
