Detta Privacy Policy

- What it is
- Fermion Research's privacy policy for Detta, effective 30 September 2026. It says speech recognition and clean-up run on the Mac, and it describes the Sharing Setting, on by default, that uploads recordings to the maker for training, where they are stored, and how they are deleted.
- How much weight it carries
- The maker's own legal text, so it is the authoritative statement of Detta's data handling at the policy date. Whether recordings are uploaded depends on the Sharing Setting in Settings, which is on by default. The docs at fermionresearch.com/docs cover the command-line tools, not the Detta app, so they give no rows.
