What it measures: Table 1 of the paper. The text says the first column reports a single distant microphone, which is the 'LA6' ceiling microphone in the DIRHA apartment. The DNN row gives 12.0 for that column.
What it does not show: The microphone was on the ceiling several meters from the speakers, which is far more distant than a laptop microphone on a desk. The number shows how much a distant microphone costs, not the error rate for a laptop.
