- The close-talking baseline in the authors' experiment, recorded in a recording studio with read WSJ sentences. It is the reference for the distant-microphone results in the same paper.
- What it does not show
- A studio with clean read speech is the most favorable condition. Real dictation in an office will have a higher error rate, and the recognizer is from 2017.
