Open the original- What it measures
- This is the skin area the median nerve covers, which is why carpal tunnel syndrome, where the median nerve is squeezed at the wrist, produces numbness in those fingers. The little finger is not in this area.
- What it does not show
- It describes feeling only, not movement. Patient education summary, so it does not give the finer detail of the palm side and back of each finger.
