Open the original (DOI 10.1111/1471-0528.13360)- What it measures
- Fluid retention and sleeping problems were assessed at several points in pregnancy, and the analysis adjusted for body mass index, age, parity and depression scores.
- What it does not show
- An observational study, so it shows an association and not proof that fluid causes the symptoms. The authors also report that carpal tunnel symptoms were independently related to sleeping problems.
