Get started with the Gemini mobile app (Google Help)

Google, n.d.

Read on October 17, 2026

What it is: Google's help page on using Gemini as the primary assistant on Android: how to switch from Google Assistant, how to switch back, which devices stay on Google Assistant, and how Hey Google is set up.
How much weight it carries: Google's own help page, read on 2026-10-17 from an archived copy because the live page returned a CAPTCHA to automated requests. It is authoritative for Google's current steps, but it gives no date for when Google Assistant ends on phones, and Google revises it without notice.
