What it measures
Redirection sends the local device's microphone into the session on the remote PC, so audio from the phone can reach software running on that PC.
What it does not show
The page does not say whether Windows voice typing or Word's Dictate works through a redirected microphone. Test a sentence in the session before you rely on it.
