Checked against its source on October 17, 2026
- How it is calculated
- 0.40 x 60 = $24 per audio hour; 175 minutes = 2.92 hours of typing; 24 / 2.92 = 8.23
- What it does not show
- Assumes a speaking rate of 150 words per minute and the online average of 51.56 words per minute, with no listening, replay or checking time. Real work takes longer, so true hourly pay is lower.
