- Google describes the feature as on by default at the setting level, with the transcript started manually in the meeting itself. The words before the quote say the feature is on by default but it is not automatic for each meeting.
- What it does not show
- The quote is the second sentence of the passage. Read it with the sentence before it, which says transcription is on by default but not automatic for each meeting. The meeting-level behavior can change with new Meet releases.
