What it measures
The proposed definition of an AI-generated call covers outbound calls only. The FCC said this avoids burdening customer service systems that consumers choose to call.
What it does not show
The TCPA restriction on artificial voices applies to calls that the caller makes or initiates. An agent that answers a call a customer placed is treated differently from one that dials out, but other laws may still apply.
