Edit or delete a recording in Voice Memos on iPhone, Apple, 2026, Deleted recordings section.
Open the original- What it measures
- Apple's iPhone guide to editing and deleting recordings. The period is the default, and the same page says it can be changed in the Voice Memos settings.
- What it does not show
- This is the default period in Apple's documentation. The page does not say whether a recording's transcript is kept or restored with it, so check the recovered recording for its transcript.
