Official documentation
If you have problems using the Dragon Web Extension or Web applications
Nuance Communications, Dragon for PC help (version 15), 2017
Read the originalRead on October 17, 2026
- What it is
- Nuance's troubleshooting page for the Dragon Web Extension, from the Dragon 15 help. It lists the supported browsers, says the extension does not apply to Microsoft Edge, and says offline mode does not work with web-based documents. The page is dated 13 July 2017 in its footer.
- How much weight it carries
- Official vendor documentation, but for Dragon 15, not Dragon 16. Dragon 16's own help lists Chrome and Edge, so its Edge statement conflicts with this page. Use it for the Dragon 15 behavior and treat the version as the limit.
Facts taken from this source
- Nuance's Dragon 15 help says the Dragon Web Extension does not apply to Microsoft Edge, so you cannot click web page objects by voice in Edge.
“The Dragon Web Extension is not applicable for the Microsoft Edge browser.” (Is the Dragon Web Extension supported in your browser?)
- Nuance says offline mode is not supported for working with web-based documents in the Dragon Web Extension, so dictating into a web app needs a connection.
“Offline mode is not supported for working with Web-based documents.” (Are you working offline?)
