What it measures
The authors built a curated dataset of 200 short verses with a consistent structure, and ran Whisper in Google Colaboratory. The study was run under low-resource conditions.
What it does not show
A small study on one part of the Quran. Character error rate counts letters, so it is not comparable to word error rate in other studies. The abstract does not report tajweed or pronunciation-rule accuracy.
