Ollama FAQ, Ollama, 2026, FAQ: Does Ollama send my prompts and answers back to ollama.com?.

Open the original
What it measures
The same answer says Ollama runs locally, and that it does not see your prompts or data when you run models locally. The cloud statement applies only when you choose a cloud-hosted model.
What it does not show
The FAQ describes Ollama's own cloud service. A dictation app that uses Ollama, or any other tool that runs a model, may handle audio and text differently, so check that app's own privacy page.
