What it measures
The guide is a vendor's advice on formatting professional transcripts. It also says to use full names or roles where possible, such as Jane: or Interviewer:, and to use generic labels such as Speaker 1: when a speaker is unknown.
What it does not show
A style recommendation from a transcription company, not a rule from a standard body. Other publishers use different layouts, such as a speaker name on its own line.
