In the source's own words

“even when Keep Activity is off, your conversations will be saved with your account for up to 72 hours”

Manage your Gemini Apps activity (Google Help), Google, n.d., Turn off or turn off and delete activity.

What it measures: The page says this activity does not appear in your Gemini Apps activity while Keep Activity is off.
What it does not show: Turning the setting off limits future use, but it is not zero retention. Google's wording covers chats, not a separate audio file.
