What it measures
The students were tested on reading speed, attention shifting, fine-motor skills, kinesthetic awareness and keyboarding. The keyboarding tasks were copying text and writing from dictation.
What it does not show
The design is correlational, and the study does not show whether keyboarding practice changes reading speed or whether reading speed drives keyboarding. It is a single study with a small sample.
