What it measures
Fine-tuning means training an existing model further on recordings of the target dialect with matching transcripts. The paper reports that MMS gained the most and performed best after adaptation.
What it does not show
Fine-tuning needs labeled recordings in your dialect, which most people do not have. The paper does not show a level of accuracy a person would find usable for dictation.
