Open the original- What it measures
- The CDC counts six disability types: mobility, cognition, independent living, hearing, vision and self-care. Many of these (mobility, vision, hearing, speech-related conditions) change how a person can type or use a touchscreen, which is why voice input matters for accessibility.
- What it does not show
- Self-reported in a national telephone survey. The figure covers all six disability types, not only disabilities that affect typing or speaking.
